ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Rio Blanco is a consistent blend of smallholder farms near the Citlaltepetl volcano in Veracruz, Mexico. Grown by producers with less than 10 hectares each, this coffee reflects the cooperative-driven structure that has shaped Mexican specialty coffee since the 1990s — giving smallholders market access and the ability to produce at a higher standard.
Caffeine is removed using ethyl acetate (EA), a naturally occurring compound derived from sugarcane fermentation. The EA bonds with the caffeine molecules while leaving the coffee's flavor compounds largely intact, resulting in a decaf that actually tastes like coffee — sweet, smooth, and full-bodied.
Butterscotch warmth, honeyed sweetness, and a soft fruit leather finish. A decaf worth reaching for any time of day.
