ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Shanta Golba is a cooperative of over 1,200 smallholder farmers in the Bensa district of Ethiopia's Sidama region. Farmers grow coffee alongside vegetables, enset, and shade trees— traditional intercropping practices that benefit both quality and the land. Cherries dry slowly on raised beds at two washing stations, with over 100 employees maintaining the beds to develop the lot's characteristic fruit depth.
Part of the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), Shanta Golba invests in producer training, road infrastructure, and local warehousing. All coffee is grown using certified organic practices.
Fruit-forward and expressive, with a creamy body and the layered complexity that high-elevation Ethiopian naturals do best.
